Time Tracker

Track time across projects with a start/stop timer. View live elapsed time, review daily logs, and see totals per project. All data is stored locally in your browser.

How It Works

The Time Tracker lets you measure how long you spend on different projects throughout the day. It uses a simple start/stop model: type a project name, press Start, and the timer begins counting. When you finish, press Stop and the entry is logged with its start time, end time, and duration.

Tracking Time

1. Enter a project name in the input field (previous project names are suggested automatically)
2. Press Start to begin timing — the live elapsed time updates every second
3. Press Stop when you finish — the entry is added to your daily log
4. Switch projects by stopping the current timer and starting a new one

Daily Log

Every completed time entry appears in the daily log table showing the project name, start time, end time, and duration. You can delete individual entries by clicking the × button next to each row. The log can be exported as a CSV file for use in spreadsheets.

Project Totals

The project totals section aggregates all logged time per project and displays a proportional bar showing each project's share of your total tracked time. This gives you a quick overview of how your day was distributed across different tasks.

Data Storage

All data is stored in your browser's local storage. Nothing is sent to a server. Data persists across page reloads but is specific to your browser. Use the export feature to save a permanent copy of your log.
